The 5th Gen 4Runner is a premier overland platform, but when outfitted with heavy armor and 35-inch (or larger) tires, the factory steering rack becomes a significant liability. Repeated stress on technical trails often leads to internal rack failure or excessive play in the mounting bushings. This Toyo-Steering kit allows you to retrofit the larger, more substantial 2007-2021 Tundra steering rack into your 4Runner, providing the mechanical strength required for heavily loaded rigs and aggressive terrain.

Tundra-Spec Internals: Upgrades your steering system to use the full-size Tundra rack bar and piston, which are designed to handle significantly higher torque loads than the stock 4Runner components.
Rigid Billet Clamps: Includes 6061-T6 aluminum mounting clamps that eliminate the movement associated with factory rubber bushings, ensuring your steering input is delivered directly to the tires.
Vehicle-Specific Hydraulics: Provided with custom high-pressure and return lines to connect the Tundra rack ports to your 4Runner’s power steering pump with a factory-style fit.
Optimized Geometry: The kit is engineered to maintain correct steering sweep and pivot points, preventing bump steer and ensuring your suspension cycles cleanly through its full range of motion.

Technical Specifications
- Fitment: 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner (5th Gen)
- KDSS Compatibility: Fits both KDSS and Non-KDSS models.
- The A-arm length "+x.xx" option is only for aftermarket long travel A-arms that extend track width. A 3” lift alone does not require this option. Choose stock length if you’re on factory or mid-travel arms.
- The shortened rack cannot be threaded to M24x1.5 (GX460, 2GFJ, 5G4R) alternative options for tie rods are available.
  The Tundra Outer Tie Rods have a different taper than the stock 4Runner. The stock spindle needs to be reamed out with a 1:10 taper. We can service your spindles or you can purchase a reamed spindle from us.
- Required Component: Requires a 2007-2021 Tundra Steering Rack (OEM Part #44250-0C160 or equivalent). Rack core not included.
