Camburg 2005-2023 Tacoma 2.5 Front Slapper Bump Stop Kit

Adding bump stops to Camburgs NEW Trail Series long-travel kit or stock length lower arms is easy with their 2.5 Slapper Bump Stop kit since the lower arm is already tabbed for it. This kit also double shears the upper arm frame pivots for a ton more strength and rigidity. We also offer a non-UCA gusset version for simpler installations that just includes the weld on frame mount for the bump stop.

Adding a bump stop adds a ton more control and bottoming resistance. This allows for a soft plush ride through the small stuff that doesn’t bottom out easily through the bigger hits and g-outs.

Why a slapper arm setup you ask? The main benefit is it allows the air bump to strike further outboard on the lower arm making it much more effective and efficient. We’re able to keep the motion ratio geometry consistent through the bottoming out travel so there is constant contact with the lower arm and the bump stop isn’t swiping the lower arm. The bump stops only comes into play toward bottoming and allows free movement in the “ride zone” so the suspension is more active in that range. With the slapper arm design we’re also able to incorporate a rubber pad to reduce noise on contact. Last but not least, it’s really cool too.

This is designed for Camburgs custom FOX or King 2.5 bump stops that work more like an air shock. We’ve spent extensive time testing getting these dialed in for their kit. We have the FOX’s cerakoted gray which is a high performance ceramic coating used in FOX’s trophy truck race shocks. Camburg supply aircraft AN bolts for the upper and lower mounts that have the proper grip/shoulder length for maximum strength.
